Six years ago today I married the love of my life Glen, in front of our families and dearest friends who we are still so grateful to for travelling all the way (by plane, train and automobile!) to a tiny provincial town in Southern Portugal, a couple even flew in from the States! We were so lucky to have all the important people in our lives surrounding us, sharing in our happy day.
We married in a small ornate church perched high on a hill overlooking the beautiful countryside of Alentejo, home to my family. There was such a warm, lovely feel to the day with a great deal of laughter and joy. Most importantly for me was the affirmation in my mind that I was marrying the person who would be a part of my life forever. We have experienced a lot of difficult times since then that would test even the most solid of relationships, but our support and love for each other continues to see us through the darker times. He wholeheartedly supports me in my business, never saying no to new ideas, whilst facilitating my whims and dreams. Hopefully the same is true for him.
Glen has made me a better person, and I am certain no matter what life throws at us we will be invincible. Being his wife has brought me a happiness I never knew existed, and together with our daughter I feel our little happy family is complete.
