As a little girl I spent many a Summer lunchtime at primary school sitting on the grass making daisy chains. Daisy chains require patience and nails, both of which are often lacking in my hectic schedule. Though it is an activity that is so very relaxing, slows you down requiring a little skill.
Matilda has this last week become slightly obsessed with Mummy making her daisy bracelets and necklaces. Frankly, I've been happy to indulge her in this most innocent of pastimes. For me Summer is all about getting close to nature and enjoying its beauty. We'll be making a floral crown next time...
