Picturesque Port Isaac, Cornwall...

As Autumn leaves us and gives way to more Wintry times, I like to turn my mind back to long, warm Summer days spent frolicking in the waves and eating  Ice creams from a cone. Not that we get that many in this country. However this Summer we had a positively Mediterranean experience in the enchanting county of Cornwall. On our last day we stopped off at the rather touristy yet exquisite Port Isaac. Location for the filming of Doc Martin. Martin Clunes was nowhere to be found but his presence was felt all over town with shop windows dedicated to him, it is a village that is certainly very proud of the association. A picturesque, friendly fishing village definitely worth a stop for a Cream Tea in one of their cute tea rooms, a browse in a few interesting gift shops and a lovely walk along the cliff.
