You know how you occasionally grab a deal from Groupon, Wowcher or the like and never end up using it. Life is hectic, the confirmation email drowns in your inbox, and by the time you get round to finding it the expiry date is long gone. Sound familiar?
As the husband and I were discussing plans on Friday night for the weekend, he remembered we had to use our Paradise Wildlife Park vouchers by the end of the month. Boom we were not going to let these vouchers slip by.
After Matilda's tennis lesson we drove off round the M25 to Broxbourne in Hertfordshire. Paradise is a small family run park, if you're expecting Whipsnade then this is not for you. There is a Tiger, Zebra, White Lions, Meerkats and Penguins amongst a number of other species to be admired. Sadly our favourite the red panda was nowhere to be seen. There is a reasonably sized play area for the children as well as a bouncy slide, an indoor soft play cafe and a great splash park . I would strongly advise taking a picnic which is not only healthier but more fun. There are lots of picnic tables and grass areas to spread out on. Matilda had a fabulous day climbing, splashing, riding on a tractor, feeding the animals. A lovely day out at a smallish park with more than enough to keep the children occupied for an afternoon...
