Better late than never weekend post

After a really tough couple of days, where I've been fighting to keep it all together whilst dealing with my profound sadness at the loss of my Godfather, I thought I'd share and therefore focus on the lovely weekend we had up until the sad news.

First off the School Summer Fair. The rain just about kept away allowing for a successful and fun fair. Adults and children alike had great fun socialising, taking part in games, eating enormous amounts of cake and buying up a lot of great goodies.

We then hotfooted it down to the New Forest to join our dear friends at their Mother's beautiful place, I wrote about it here We spent Sunday exploring the beautiful Beaulieu estate, taking in the Bond Car exhibition too. We all were rather over excited about standing next to some of the most iconic Bond vehicles. Pity the weather was not in our favour though it didn't dampen the children spirits as they made up their own treasure hunts complete with maps, bless them. They have a wonderful knack of lifting a mood whilst lessening the harsh realities of life. Long may it continue.
