Good bye Summer Sundays

Waking up to a deliciously blinding sun and blue skies made our decision to head off to the beach to catch the last rays of Summer, all too easy. Today we found ourselves going to West Wittering, a few miles South of Chichester. After a beautiful drive through the South Downs we arrived at the manically busy beach covered in families and teenagers all here, like us, to have fun on the beach and breathe in the fresh sea air.

Perfect for windsurfing and sailing it is a rather blustery experience being on West Wittering beach. It is a huge, wide expanse of white sand dotted with colourful wind breakers. The sea looked magical, home to hundreds of sailing boats, wind surfers and wind gliders. I sat gazing for hours truly emptying my mind, whilst watching my little girl amuse herself digging holes in the sand. I love Autumn and all the riches it brings with it, but I will miss these perfect Summer moments taking in the salty sea air, relishing the heat on my face and the wind in my hair. Hurry up Summer and come visit us again soon.

(Don't think he found any treasure)

A great way to end a lovely day, an excellent country pub Roast dinner with all the trimmings and home made horseradish sauce which was heavenly! At the Dog and Pheasant in Brook, Surrey.
