A Bank Holiday weekend in Norfolk

Beautiful Norfolk was our destination for this last May Bank Holiday. I fell in love with this county about 8 years ago when the husband and I first spent a wonderful weekend on the North Coast in Wells Next Sea. This time we were at Glen's family caravan about 20 miles North of Great Yarmouth. This is about as close to camping I get! Matilda loved being there, so much so, she was adamant she didn't want to return home yesterday.

The sun shone for us all weekend, we left the rain behind in London which made the experience of this enigmatic county all the more special. We took long windswept walks, picked flowers along coastal paths, played beach games, browsed the neon arcades, went on a boat trip along the Broads, fell upon a lovely village Summer fete, and ate an abundance of delicious food. After three days we really were not ready to come home but the promise of storms hitting Norfolk today, we knew our luck was up and we ought to head back South...
