A guest post today from my dear friend Dionne Povey who I've known for 24 years. She was the very first person I met at university and we've been friends ever since. I love this beautiful poem even more poignant this week as we've been remembering those who have perished for us.
A Garland of White Roses
Around your delicate neck
We hang
Our Garland of White Roses
And place
Another in her finely spun hair
To celebrate
Your Journey
To our land that time forgot
And remind you
When you leave Us
Our
Roses
Will follow You.
