Lala Brasserie, Hammersmith

Living in Fulham means that the Hammersmith roundabout acts as the gateway to a lot of useful places. Dotted around the roundabout are several eateries that to be honest I've not taken much notice of, including Lala Brasserie. To be honest I'd not ever even considered having dinner there, restaurants on roundabouts don't appeal to me. How wrong I was...

Lala was chosen as the location for the parents thank you dinner for the wonderful teachers that look after our children day in day out. Our brilliant class rep Simran negotiated a £21 menu which included wine! A wonderful welcome awaited us as well as some genuinely good food. Billed as Contemporary Mediterranean cuisine leaning heavily towards Turkey, it didn't disappoint.

Lovely humous, babaghanous, meatballs to start. Then I went for the Lamb kofta kebab which was delicious. Fresh, non greasy filled with crispy salad and served with fries, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The puddings were equally fabulous. I had the heavenly homemade baklava with vanilla ice cream.

So if you ever find yourself in Hammersmith at a loss at where to eat, do give the reasonably priced and lovely Lala Brasserie a go. They do great cocktails too by all accounts!
