Saturday morning at the market...

Being a keen cook and a lover of food in general, there's nothing more exciting than taking a trip to the local farmers market. Our most local one is in Barnes, not having been for a while I was pleased to see the market expanded with some fascinating good quality produce. Can't believe that we have nothing like this in Fulham, H&F council take note - Parsons Green would be the ideal spot! Great for the community and for local businesses to have the traffic of a well supported Farmers Market!

Another fav of mine www.bakeathomepizza.co.uk has a stall there, the inspirational Joshua was there cooking away and offering the punters a free slice of his most delicious pizza! He uses well sourced ingredients from reputable suppliers to make up the pizzas that are delivered to your door in minutes ready for you to pop into your oven. Give him a call, oh and don't forget to try the homemade Italian Icecream - to die for! Matilda had her very first slice of bakeathome pizza today and she LOVED it.

We came away with a basket full of goodies - some taleggio, beautiful walnut soda bread made with Molasses, some wild salad, the sweetest peppers and tomatoes you've ever tasted (apart from my own home grown ones of course which are still not ripe). For tomorrow's BBQ if the weather holds we got some lovely looking Pork, lemon and Thyme sausages and some good old homemade pork and apple burgers! Let's hope the sun stays with us in London...

Off to make some brownies as it's Baking Saturday!
