We kicked off the Festive Season today with a visit to Audley End Miniature Railway where Father Christmas and his lovely wife Mrs Christmas accompanied by a band of merry elves were awaiting a train load of small children and their families.
Going to see Father Christmas is a family event that is firmly ensconced in our festive calender. To see Matilda's beaming face full of excitement in anticipation of what Father Christmas will say to her. This year she has asked for a watch...luckily one will be winging it's way to her on Christmas Eve as she has mostly been a good girl this year. We still need to work on the concept of time with her though, as she was convinced that Father Christmas would be coming down our chimney tonight as she'd seen him today. It makes sense I guess...
