Neighbours angry at plans to 'overdevelop' ex-care centre - Local News - News
I rediscovered my protesting youth a couple of weeks ago. I thought my days as a CND youth member were over, but all it takes is an issue close to our hearts to galvanise a community.
The proposals are preposterous though more importantly will cause untold disruption to the community not only in the care centre but to its neighbours. Fulham is already a traffic hot spot without even more lorries, trucks and eventually more resident cars to add to the mix.
It's bad enough that there is yet another luxury development on the river, further down towards Hammersmith that will eventual house hundreds more people and their 2-3 cars per household. This is just another project that will congest the area unnecessarily and uproot our older community who will be forced to move out of their home.
Time to stand up and be counted!
