A Postcard from Brighton...

As you know the husband, Matilda and I jetted off for a long weekend in the beautiful Brighton. A stone's throw from London, it is the ideal place to unwind, kick off your heels and enjoy the Boho atmosphere. From taking walks along the pebbly beach to Mojitos at the Marina to giving your credit card a beating in the Lanes. Brighton has something for everyone and we partook in all the above.

Matilda particularly enjoyed the Hello Kitty cars on the pier and the carousels on the beach. She ate smoked mackerel and crab sandwiches, olives and tiger prawns on the promenade, ran around the Pavilion Gardens, threw pebbles into the sea and rode her scooter valiantly along the promenade all the way from Kemptown in the centre. Meanwhile her father and I ran along behind her desperately trying to keep up.

We had a wonderful time as a family with no Internet to distract us the husband and I even managed a few conversations!

The tunnel below is said to have inspired Lewis Carroll to write Alice in Wonderland. It runs from Lewes Crescent down to the sea and as you can see Matilda loved it!

Brighton Marina which was a revelation to me.
