This is where we escaped to this afternoon, the beautiful Cannizaro Park in Wimbledon. We took a delightful walk around the grounds, climbing trees, searching for art works by Wimbledon School Of Art Students. However, for me the piece de resistence was the coffee and shortbread biscuits on the expansive terrace at the Cannizaro House Hotel. The husband and I spent a number of weekends at the hotel (before child) when we fancied a stay somewhere that felt rural, but was only a short drive from home. Wonderful staff, exquisite views across the park, nice coffee and plenty of space for Matilda to scooter around! All in all it was a perfect Saturday.
