Today I had the good fortune to have to do some last minute party shopping for a client. Luckily for me the King's Road is my nearest decent high street which gave me the excuse to go see the Christmas lights. Personally, I've never liked the Oxford Street lights always preferring the King's Road or Marylebone High Street, somehow they seem more personal, more special.
Duke Of York Square looked resplendent with giant balls of light dotted around the green opposite the Saatchi Gallery, a big tree of light presides over the square itself, simple but extremely charming.
I suddenly got a real sense of excitement about this year's Christmas, Matilda won't quite understand fully what's going on but she'll appreciate the twinkly lights and the presents! So as soon as I got home, I had a look at some of the events we can take her to in order to facilitate her understanding but secretly also satisfy my childlike inner soul!
This is my pick of what's happening in London in the next month:
The Enchanted Woodland at Syon House
